Cagayan de Oro recorded 357 new active cases from January 8 to 14 and is now under Alert Level 3

Cagayan de Oro is under Alert Level 3 from January 14 to 31, 2022, announced by Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles as COVID-19 cases continue to increase. The City Health Office has recorded 357 new active cases, 16 recoveries, and one death between January 8 and 14.

On Thursday, Mayor Oscar Moreno stated that Kagay-anons should be mindful of protecting themselves from COVID-19 and its variations by adhering to minimal public health standards and immunization.

The restrictions on enterprises and activities are tightened much more. Capacity is further constrained in absolute terms, and certain facilities must temporarily close under Alert Level 3.

One of the main changes to Alert Level 3 status is the drop of the 70% maximum capacity of outdoor venues to 50% and the 50% total capacity of indoor venues to only 30%.

The public is encouraged to strictly adhere to all national and local government norms to avoid government penalties or fines.
