France Mirah Quines hailed Miss Liceo Tanzanite



Ms. France Mirah Quines of the College of Radiologic Technology was hailed Miss Liceo Tanzanite last February 24, 2020 at Liceo de Cagayan University Civic Center during the celebration of the 65th Founding Anniversary.


The program started with an Opening Prayer led by the G Clef Society. It was followed by the Production Number of Miss Liceo Diamond and the candidates of Miss Liceo Tanzanite.


The first set of minor awards was then awarded to the following:


Best in Production Number - College of Medical Laboratory Science

Best in Talent - College of Radiologic Technology

Miss Congeniality - College of Criminal Justice


After the first set of minor awards were given, the judges were introduced. Ms. Nikki de Moura, Ms. Nicole Abas-Datayan, Hon. Atty. Lordan Suan, Ms. Bea Bianca, and Atty. Jeffrey C. Saclot.


The next part of the pageant was the Swimwear Competition where the College of Radiologic Technology received the Best in Swimwear Award. The second set of minor awards are the following:


Best in Formal Wear - College of Rehabilitation Sciences

Miss Photogenic - College of Pharmacy

Miss Spruce - College of Rehabilitation Sciences

Miss RSDM - College of Engineering


For the audience to know the personality of the candidates, each of them were asked about their personal interests. It was then followed by the Evening Gown Competition. The last and final set of minor awards were given to the following:


Miss Expressions - College of Rehabilitation Sciences

Miss mi Dept Store - High School Department

Miss Bratpack - College of Pharmacy

Miss Asia United Bank - High School Department

Face of Le Rouge - College of Engineering

Best in Evening Gown - College of Radiologic Technology


The Top 6 Finalists were then announced. First to make it was from the High School Department, followed by College of Radiologic Technology, College of Nursing, College of Business and Accountancy, College of Rehabilitation Sciences, and College of Engineering.


Each of them were asked the same question during the Final Question and Answer Portion, "What makes a Licean distinct?" The winning answer of Miss France Mirah Quines stated that, "a Licean must be service oriented, excellent in undertakings and is God-centered."


Eliza Margaret "Meg" Cui Bacareza, had her final walk as the Miss Liceo Diamond ready to pass the responsibility to the newly crowned queen. Ms Kate Darryl Justiniani of the College of Rehabilitation Science won the 1st Runner-up and Ms. Prissy Pazia of the College of Business and Accountancy garnered the 2nd Runner-up.


The event ended with a fireworks display. Truly, this year marks another milestone for Liceo de Cagayan University. Adelante, Liceo!
